INTRODUCTION TO IDMS
Audience:
This course is intended for all Application Development staff responsible for using development tools in the IDMS development environment.
Course Objective:
The course is designed to give an intensive five-day introduction to the IDMS environment. The student will learn the various components of IDMS, the concepts of developing in the database environment, a developer's view of the Integrated Data Dictionary and how to navigate an IDMS database.

IDD Concepts, Integration, Entities
Security
Data Relationships, Data Storage, Set Structures
Data Structure Diagram, Currency, Database Access
Retrieving Data, Modifying Data, Protecting Data Integrity

Prerequisite:
COBOL Programming Language and Job Control Language.
